Are you feeling left behind in the technology area, or do you like to know about the latest gizmos? On March 9, Unlimited Learning will offer a class to bring you up to speed.
Thomas Rohr, store services manager at Best Buy in Baxter, will share his knowledge from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Hallett Community Center in Crosby.
Rohr will cover many electronic/digital wonders: virus protection, hands-free cell phones, hearing enhancements, wireless products, music storage, home-theaters and more.
Unlimited Learning provides quality learning opportunities for all ages with emphasis on mature adults. The organization offers monthly classes and courses for those who love learning and enjoy exploring new and varied interests as well as connecting with people. Individual classes are free to members while non-members pay $6 per session.

Fifth annual Women's Expo planned March 6 in Walker
WALKER - The Leech Lake Area's fifth annual Women's Expo is set for March 6 at Northern Lights Event Center. The event is sponsored by WHA Community Education and Northern Lights Event Center.
Dozens of artists, vendors and organizations are featured in the exhibit and demonstration hall, where participants may shop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In the demonstration area, women will see the making of glass beads, practice accessorizing with scarves and jewelry, see a facial and makeover, learn how to do quick and easy hair, practice calligraphy and make a card, experiment with floral arranging and learn to play poker.
Special entertainment will be on center stage with music by Fran Gack, a belly dance demonstration by Tasha Mirick and the style show featuring local businesses. Cooking demonstrations by Charlies Up North and Dancing Fire will be conducted between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Breakout presentations will cover topics of Family BEST with Nancy Bruns, Personal Reflection by Julee-Ford-Young, and laughter with humorist Esther Fruth.
Northern Lights has several food choices to satisfy everyone's taste preferences. A wine kiosk will be available throughout the afternoon and door prizes will be drawn during the day.
Admission is $20 with pre-registration and $25 at the door.

Cuyuna Range Women's Club to meet March 1 in Crosby
The Cuyuna Range Women's Club will meet at 1 p.m. March 1 in the meeting room of the Jessie F. Hallett Memorial Library in Crosby.
Following a brief business meeting chaired by president Myrna Nelson, special music will be provided by Crosby-Ironton High School singers led by Wayne Ellingsen.
The program for the afternoon, entitled "Medical Challenges Facing the Aging and their Families," will feature Dr. David Goodwin. He will discuss the difficulties these issues can bring up, the decisions that must be made and the communication within families. He will also speak of the interaction necessary among the medical staff, the patient and the family. There will be time for questions from those attending the meeting.
Refreshments will be served by the committee of Jeanne Astell, Lenore McBroom and JoAnn Goshey. All area women are welcome to attend and invited to join the club.
Medallion hunt rescheduled for March in Hackensack
HACKENSACK - Back to Hack, rescheduled for March 13-14, will feature a medallion hunt, a new event put into the schedule after an ice storm caused the cancellation of several activities in January.
The medallion hunt will start March 8 and run through March 13. Clues will be posted at 10 a.m. each day at Swanson's Bait, Mark's Market, Hackensack Hardware and Lumber, Southside Fuel Plus and the Visitor's Center.
The person who finds the medallion will get $50 and a VIP room rental at Bear Pause Theater.
Other events include radar runs, ice sculpting, snowflake pageant, craft show, chili feed, spaghetti supper and much more.
