Brainerd's adapted floor hockey team was downright offensive Monday.
The Warriors attempted 34 shots on net and spent the majority of the North Conference contest in the Maple Grove Crimson zone. The relentless attack resulted in an 8-1 victory at Riverside Elementary.
Brainerd's peppering of Crimson goalie Nate Schott allowed Maple Grove to attempt just one shot on net.
"Our guys had a pretty good attack after going 0-3 against the top two teams in the state in Robbinsdale and Anoka," said Warriors coach Bruce Thompson. "This was kind of a fun game because our kids were able to attack and be on the offensive.

"We pulled our walker defender into the neutral zone and got some things going with that."
Brainerd's Tyler Theien provided the most offensive firepower with four goals and one assist. Ethan Rudbeck tallied two goals and three assists. The Warriors' other starting forward, Wes Blomberg, tallied one goal.
"They're veterans," said Thompson about his first line. "They really know the game and they're aggressive. The beauty of last year was that we didn't graduate anybody. These guys have grown together and they really know each other.
"Tonight I saw a little too much of I want the puck on my stick and I want to score. A little bit too much of that and not enough passing. It's passing that really opens up the players."

Mary Sebasky tallied her third goal of the season. The senior wing, who missed all of last season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, tallied at the 11:22 mark of the third period.
"Mary does a really good job passing the puck," said Thompson. "She comes off the bench and does a really good job of everything."
After tallying just one goal in the first, Brainerd erupted for five in the second. The Warriors built a 5-0 lead before Maple Grove's one shot attempt.
