The new exhibit in the Central Lakes College Art Gallery on the Brainerd campus features photographs by Minneapolis artist Laura Crosby.
"The Beauty Myth" will be displayed until March 22 for public viewing during regular school hours Monday-Friday.
The artist will discuss her work in a presentation at 1 p.m. March 14 in the art room.

Crosby has exhibited her works in solo shows at the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, Hamline University in St. Paul, Lake Forest College in Illinois, and North Dakota State University in Fargo, among other sites. Many other shows have been in conjunction with other artists at events such as the Minnesota State Fair, the Frederick Weisman Art Museum International Library Exhibition in Minneapolis, and the Center for Photography at Woodstock, N.Y.
In 1996, her photographs joined an international display in Bristol, England, at Watershed Gallery.
Crosby has published photographs in several periodicals, including Photography Quarterly, Voices, Tradeswomen, Minnesota Monthly and St. John's Alumni Magazine.
She has lectured and presented at many seminars, among them the campuses where her works have been exhibited as well as the University of Minnesota School of Journalism, Blake Schools, Breck School, Film in the Cities, and the League of Women Voters.
