Thanks to Officer Neal Gaalswyk, Cory Peterson and all who gave first aid and assistance in transferring Eugene Harris to ER on Feb. 9, 2002 after he fell on the ice at the Ice Fishing Extravaganza. God bless you.
The Eugene Harris Family
On Tuesday Feb. 12, more than 60 community and staff presenters spent their day with Washington Middle School students. These presenters shared their time and talents with our students. The students thoroughly enjoyed themselves and because of all of the volunteers, presenters, and staff involvement Activity Day was a huge success. Thank you to all of you who played a part in our day.
On behalf of all the children and families, we wish to send a huge thanks from the Children First For Future Program to social organizations with which we continue to team work and raise awareness for child abuse prevention and domestic violence. It is a pleasure to work with Patty Wetterling and Sheila Wellstone and all our safe shelters.
We recently started distributing purple ribbons that mean domestic abuse violence and blue representing child abuse prevention. This worthy cause is to raise continued awareness for educational purposes. We thank all volunteers locally and through the state for all their time. We will continue distributing ribbons through April.
Thank you to all the parents and youth who recently wore ribbons and our community has shown compassion for the safety of each child's future. Thank you to all the resources which make a difference in the lives of a child and family.
