MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- There was no indication of a settlement after attorneys for Clem Haskins and the University of Minnesota argued about whether the former men's basketball coach should be allowed to keep his $1.5 million contract buyout.
Each side made its case Friday before Hennepin County District Judge Deborah Hedlund and then spent the afternoon in settlement discussions closed to the public.
The university is suing Haskins to recover at least $1 million, plus punitive damages.
