Roy L. Holmes

LOWELLVILLE, Ohio -- Roy Larry Holmes, 48, Lowellville, Ohio, formerly of Brainerd, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000.

He was born Oct. 29, 1951, in Brainerd to Cyril and Hazel (Schmaltz) Holmes. He graduated from Brainerd High School in 1970. He moved to Ohio in 1983 and worked as a truck driver. He married in 1984 and later worked as a carpenter and raised show horses.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Kerri Roth, Pine River; his parents, of Pine Center; four grandchildren; four sisters, Donna Fitch and Bonnie Puffer, both of Brainerd, Sharon Horst, Zimmerman, and Linda Brooks, Woodbury; and three brothers, Dale Holmes, Onamia, Norman Holmes, Loretto, and Gary Holmes, Ogilvie.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Halvorson Johnson Funeral Home of Brainerd with lunch following at the Roosevelt Town Hall in Pine Center. Memorials are preferred.
