Learn to make a companion garden

HACKENSACK -- Master Gardener Mary Parrish will present a program offered by the University of Minnesota Extension Service-Cass County on what plants make up a companion garden.

The program will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at Union Congregational Church in Hackensack and is free to the public.

Participants will learn what types of seeds or plants should be selected as part of a companion garden and how a companion garden needs to be cared for to produce great yields and reduce the number of garden insects.
