Robert E. Floyd Jr.

STAPLES -- Robert Eugene Floyd Jr., 38, Staples, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001, at Greater Staples Hospital.

He was born July 28, 1962, in Seattle to Robert E. and Caroline M. (Geelan) Floyd. He attended schools in Seattle and after graduation, he moved to Reno, Nev., where he lived for several years. He moved to Leader in 1992 and worked in the area as a construction contractor and welder. He married Robin Bandy-Marshall on June 22, 1996, in Apple Valley. They had lived in Staples since 1999.

Survivors include his wife; two stepsons, Dustin Marshall and Dylan Marshall, both of Staples; a stepdaughter, Kelsey Marshall, Staples; his mother, Caroline Kilby, Vancouver, Wash.; and two sisters, Sherri Floyd and Kristi Kilby-Wilson, both of Vancouver.

His father died earlier.

Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples with Pastor Stanley Myers officiating.

Friends may call an hour before services Saturday at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples.
