Posted: Thursday, February 21, 2008

Wednesday marked the 11th day this year that low temperatures in Brainerd landed at or below 20 degrees below zero.

The temperature at the weather station at Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport registered 21 degrees below about 8 a.m. Wednesday. Temperatures hit 24 degrees below Tuesday morning.

Because of the cold, school was canceled Wednesday in Brainerd.
