Brainerd attorney Ed Shaw said a meeting is scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday on the impact of a "superstore" on the Brainerd lakes area. The meeting will be at Northwest Pizza/Boardwalk Bread and Bagel in Brainerd.
Pony Partners classes
Pony Partners classes for girls and boys in third- through sixth-grade will meet from 3-4:30 p.m. Mondays at Nisswa Elementary School.
This is an opportunity for students to learn about horses. Brenda Myers, a certified instructor in recreational riding and stable management, will teach the class. Students will learn about basic horsemanship, safety measures, grooming and care of ponies all in a classroom setting.
Session I will be Feb. 25, March 4, 11 and 18. Session II will be April 8, 15, 22 and 29.
Cost of the class is $20. Enrollment is limited to 20 students.

Ag association meeting Monday
The Nokay Lake Agricultural Association will hold its annual meeting 7 p.m. Monday at the Long Lake Town Hall.
Anyone interested in the Local Farmers Market, purchasing produce through community supported agriculture or direct marketing of locally produced sustainable products is invited to attend.
