Battle of the Badges blood drive planned for March 15-19
The Battle of the Badges blood drive will be 1-7 p.m. March 15-18 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 19 at the Heritage Assembly of God Church in Baxter. A vote for your favorite hero brings a dozen doughnuts for police officers or hot wings for firefighters.
Blood banks are low due to illness and bad weather.

Support group for sexual violence survivors
A new support group for adults who have experienced sexual violence, either recently or sometime in the earlier years of their lives, will begin at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Sexual Assault Services office, 217 S. Seventh St., suite 114, Brainerd.
The group offers opportunities for fresh ideas and support by group members as each person works through their own situation.

Wine tasting and silent auction planned
Brainerd Sunrise Rotary and Westside Liquor are sponsoring a wine tasting and silent auction to support Rotary's community projects from 4:30-8 p.m. March 5 at the Holiday Inn Express. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
