Oswald M. Olson, age 73, of Brainerd, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004, at St. Cloud Hospital.
He was born July 7, 1930, to Oswald E. and Myrtle (Engholm) Olson in Minneapolis. He served in the United States Army as an infantryman during the Korean War. He attended Tacoma Vocational School. He was a heavy equipment operator and mechanic. He also had a farm and gravel business.
He is survived by his son, Gregory (Deatta) Olson of Brainerd; his sisters, Rosella Rognaldson of Puyallup, Wash., Angeline Havig of Rancho Cordova, Calif., Vernette Hill of Brainerd, and Florence Campbell of Ashland, Wis.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Carol Olson.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Long Lake Township with Pastor Bob Twiton officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, from 5-8 p.m. at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
