LITTLE FALLS -- The Great River Arts Association is scheduling its ninth annual season of summer Concerts in the Park and something new at the Great River Arts Center an Open Mic Night.
Concerts in the Park welcomes performers from previous years and invites new performers who would like the opportunity to share their talents with the community. Music, dance and other entertainment that work well outdoors are most appropriate. Traditional, ethnic and newer genre are all welcome.
These concerts are held 4 p.m. Sundays, June 1 through Aug. 31, on the banks of the Mississippi River at Maple Island Park, near downtown Little Falls. They're open to the public free of charge. The schedule of performances will be announced at a later date.
Open Mic Night is a new feature at the arts center. GRAA is looking for performers in both music and poetry -- any style, sound, original or not. The first event is scheduled April 3.
