Rock the town

Two Midwest powerhouse bands will rock the Blue Ox in downtown Brainerd next week.

The southern rock sounds of Austin Healy will fill the Blue Ox Wednesday night.

The following night, Feb. 27, southern rock will be replaced by the popular pop country sounds of The Killer Hayseeds.

The Austin Healy Web site notes, "With a rock-solid history spanning nearly two decades, Austin Healy is known near and far as a powerful and enduring musical presence. Their music reflects influences of such legends as Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Allman Brothers, the Outlaws and .38 Special. ..."

The Killer Hayseeds Web site states the band has "established a reputation for being one of the Midwest's most energetic country groups that features original as well as country standards. ..."

The bands will perform 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
