WALKER -- The Cass County Board received a report Tuesday on Region 5's survey of brownfields, properties previously contaminated by commercial or industrial use, which could be redeveloped now if the land were cleaned.

They include five in McKinley and Wabedo townships in Cass; three in Brainerd and Lake Edward and Perry Lake townships in Crow Wing; four in Little Falls and Buckman and Culdrum townships in Morrison; 23 in Little Sauk, Osakis, Hewitt and Hartford Township in Todd; and five in the Menahga and Wadena and in Staples and Wing River townships in Wadena.

Fifteen municipalities said they would be interested in grant money to assist with cleanup.
