PEQUOT LAKES -- Hannah Pies, 83, Pequot Lakes, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.
She was born Feb. 21, 1917, in Benson to Halvor (Haddie) and Olga Halvorson. She moved to Pequot Lakes and attended school there. She married Homer Pies on April 20, 1939.
Survivors include two sons, Homer, Matthews, Va., and Howard, Gilabend, Ariz.; two daughters, Lorie McKeever, Gwinner, N.D., and Joan Pies, Jenkins; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Cliff Halvorson, Warren, Mich., Harold Halvorson, Baxter, and Julian Halvorson, Burnsville; and two sisters, Ruby Berg, Minnetonka, and Shirley Robideaux, Pequot Lakes.
Her husband, Homer; a son, Harvey; three brothers, Orrin, Clarence and Merlin; a sister, Elizabeth; and two grandchildren died earlier.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Grace United Methodist Church in Pequot Lakes with Pastor Dan Doughty officiating. Burial will be in Our Savior's Cemetery in Pequot Lakes.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Kline Funeral Home in Pine River.
