Bizarre traffic accidents were reported here over the weekend, including one where the driver and passenger fell from their car after turning into the Brainerd Vo-Tech parking lot. The driverless car struck a sign, went over the curb and came to rest on the lawn.

Burglars made off with between $300 and $400 from the Little Vegas Tavern last night according to Brainerd police. Entry was gained by forcing open the front door, and the money was taken from the jukebox and a pay pool table.

Minnesota counties will be awarded $3.2 million from the state gasoline tax and another $1.96 million from the state's one mill highway tax. The taxes are apportioned based on mileage, traffic and conditions. Crow Wing County will receive $61,080.

Larry Boyle, Duluth Central High school's crack basketball player, came down today from Aitkin where his team played last night, to visit old friends. Larry is handicapped by the loss of his right hand and part of his arm, yet is one of the fastest players in the state.
