CLOQUET - Five players scored in double figures as the Central Lakes College Raiders dismantled Fond du Lac 113-45 in a North Division matchup Wednesday.
With one game remaining in the regular season, Saturday at Itasca, CLC solidified its grip on a first-place tie with Vermilion.
Brandon Stenger had 16 points, C.J. Peeters and Caleb Nurnberger each had 12, Bam Glover 11 and Ryan Peeters 10 as CLC improved to 12-1 in the North, 21-4 overall. Glover also grabbed 12 rebounds.
The Raiders shot 59 percent from the field, 63 percent from 3-point range.
"The bottom line was we took care of the ball," Raiders coach Jim Russell said. "We made good passes for shots. We were in sync. It was one of those days where everything we threw up went in.
"The thing that has impressed us all year about this team is how well we pass the ball. When your leaders are passers, like C.J. and Bam, that spreads. I'm happy everyone got a chance to play."
