Woman sent clipping to show

It was learned Wednesday that another Brainerd resident may have been the instigator behind submitting a Brainerd Dispatch police item that was read on the "Late Show with David Letterman" Monday night.

Rhonda Bock said in a telephone interview that she mailed the newspaper clipping to the Letterman show. Bock called the Letterman show for an address to submit the clipping and on Feb. 4 she received an e-mail telling her to mail the item to the show because it doesn't accept the items electronically.

Bock said she thought the police report had a "fat chance" of getting aired on the Letterman show, but when she saw it made it on the show she was excited.
