Two snowmobile accidents, one involving minor injury, were reported over the weekend. The Crow Wing County sheriff said a machine flipped at the entrance to Morningside Resort, injuring the driver. The other accident was in Brainerd.

The Brainerd Planning Commission unveiled for the public last night a comprehensive plan for Brainerd. It envisions a downtown mall and two industrial parks.

Word has been received from Bemidji of the death of Frank O'Neil, formerly of Brainerd and brother of Con O'Neil. He had his leg crushed by a sled and lockjaw followed the amputation. He succumbed to the disease in a few days.
