The Minnesota Department of Transportation flagman who was struck by a car Thursday afternoon was reported in serious condition Sunday.
Larry Potter, 57, Brainerd, was working at a road construction site about 2:05 p.m. Thursday on Highway 210 west of Cass County Road 1 near Pillager when a vehicle heading eastbound on Highway 210 did not follow the construction lane change and struck him, the State Patrol reported.
Potter was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, where on Friday he was listed in critical condition.
A hospital spokeswoman on Sunday said his condition had improved to serious but stable.
Potter was struck by a van driven by Donovan P. Stern, 84, of Benton, Ark. Stern. Stern and his passenger, Charlotte R. Stern, 53, of Benton, Ark., were not injured in the crash.
