Broomball makeup games Saturday

Makeup dates for broomball games postponed earlier this season have been set for Saturday at the Gold Medal Arena.

Games times are:

Shep's/Integra vs. Lonesome Cottage 7:30 p.m.; Greg Larson Sports vs. KFC/AmericInn 8:30 p.m.; Green Mill vs. Paul Bunyan Sports Bar 9:30 p.m.

Zemke to speak to boosters club

Brainerd Warriors swimming coach John Zemke will be the speaker at the Brainerd Sports Boosters Club meeting, which begins noon Thursday at the Sharing Bread Soup Kitchen located at 923 Oak St. between the Triangle Store and Temple Baptist Church.

Mark Femling, the Warrior Athlete of the Week, will be honored.

Johnson wins third consecutive feature

Tim Johnson won his third consecutive ATV feature during the ninth annual Cathy Janson Memorial Race at North Star Iceway Sunday.

He was followed by Mike Matich and John Ostrowski.

Tina Tomberlin won her second powderpuff feature and Greg Tomberlin won his second front wheel drive hard rubber feature.

Tina Tomberlin was followed by Linda Tomberlin and Karen Gruenwald.

Greg Tomberlin was trailed by Justin Jones and Keith Borg.

Aaron Tomberlin won the front wheel drive studs feature, Randy Tomberlin was second and George Mattson was third.

Races are conducted every Sunday at the track, located 13 miles south of Brainerd on Crow Wing County 45.

Brainerd sophomore boys' prevail

The Brainerd Warriors sophomore boys' basketball team improved their record to 11-10 with a 69-48 win over Sauk Rapids Tuesday. Zach Eastman scored 15 points, Jay Rakowski added 12, Riley Cullinane 10, and Mike Stoe 12 for the Warriors.
