Pierz woman hurt in car-train crash

LITTLE FALLS -- An 18-year-old Pierz woman suffered minor injuries after the vehicle she was in struck a train at the intersection of Paul Larson Drive and Highway 27 in Little Falls.

The Little Falls Police Department and the Morrison County Sheriff's Department responded to the vehicle-train accident at 12:36 a.m. today.

Little Falls police said the driver of the vehicle, Robert Seel, 20, Pierz, drove around the lowered stop arms when the vehicle was struck by a northbound Burlington Northern Santa Fe train.

Seel was not hurt.

The passenger, Sara L. Johnson, suffered minor injuries and was treated at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls and released.
