Ethel Rose Kellams

Ethel Rose Kellams, 94, Brainerd, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.

She was born Aug. 22, 1907, in Chicago to Charles and Evangeline (Neeson) Frink. She grew up and attended school in Chicago. She worked as a customer services representative for Carson-Piri. She married Julius Bryan Kellams on May 12, 1928, in Chicago. She moved with her family to Earlville, Ill. She lived there until 1992, when she moved to Baxter, along with her daughter and son-in-law. She moved to Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd in 1997 after living at Brainerd Manor for a year. She had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include two daughters, Norma Carter, Baxter, and Ruth Kellams, Shaumburg, Ill.; and several grandchildren.

Her husband and a daughter, Dora Jean Curtis, died earlier.

Services were 10 a.m. today at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with the Rev. Lilja Behr officiating. Burial will be at the Beverly Cemetery in Blue Island, Ill.
