Mary Wessman Stenback

GARRISON -- Mary Wessman Stenback, 48, Garrison, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002.

She was born March 22, 1953, in Sioux Falls, S.D., to Maurice and Germaine (Goble) Wessman. She graduated from high school in Sioux Falls. She attended St. Olaf College and the University of Minnesota. She studied music in Italy. She married John M. Stenback on Dec. 3, 1977. They owned and operated Headquarters Lodge in Garrison. She worked as a Realtor for Positive Realty and most recently for A-1 Excellence/ReMax of Minnetonka. She was a member of Lakeview Community Church and a former member of the Garrison Lioness Club and the Onamia School Board.

Survivors include her husband; a stepson, Alex Stenback, Minneapolis: three daughters, Karis Stenback, Minneapolis, and Lorraine Stenback and Natalia Stenback, both of Garrison; a son, Johnny Stenback, Garrison; a grandchild; and a brother, Mark Wessman, New Orleans.

Her parents died earlier.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lakeview Community Church south of Pine Center with the Rev. David Gouldin officiating. Memorials are preferred.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Shelley Funeral Chapel in Onamia and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Lakeview Community Church.
