While commendable, the season free throw percentage of Brainerd High School Warrior guards Mike Brown and Barry Sorenson (71 and 72 percent respectively) gave no indication they would bat a thousand percent (21 for 21) at the gift lanes Tuesday night in leading Coach Dick Juillerat's defending Region 8AA Cage Champs to a 61-57 overtime victory over Melrose.

Brainerd Businessmen and Crafts Union members joined hands last night in an effort aimed at putting a building in Brainerd's new Industrial Park this spring. The Unions say they will furnish the labor free of charge and the businessmen say they will see that all materials are provided at cost and that the needed machinery is furnished.

Eighth Central Six Conference Championship in the dozen years he has coached the Brainerd Warriors was presented to Coach Fred Kellett Friday on the local court in the form of a 54-39 conquest of the Little Falls Flyers.

The other day The Daily Dispatch in a front page feature article took readers back 67 years! The article delved into old city records to detail when Brainerd's city government was born and how it was given life.
