Trinity Children's Center was recently granted accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
This recognition is received by about seven percent of programs nationwide.
To achieve accreditation programs must undergo a review by a team of national experts. Accreditation is valid for three years.
Working at Trinity Children's Center are Colleen Faacks, Doreen Bock, Sonya Hanson, Becky Dryburgh, Melissa Litke, Maren Musel, Jody Fischer and Neila Gorron.
Gitchell, Warburton join magazine
Amy Gitchell and Janelle Warburton have been hired by the Lake Country Journal Magazine.
Gitchell, a Texas native, was hired as an advertising representative. she attended the
University of Alabama and Central Lakes College, studying Communication Art and Design. She previously worked at Camp Lincoln
Warburton, a Baxter native, was hired as a project coordinator and an office manager. She attended Lowthian College in Minneapolis, and continued her education in San Diego. She previously worked as a quality-assurance inspector.
Nelson opens door company
John Nelson has opened a new overhead door company, All-In-One Overhead Door, in the Brainerd lakes area.
Nelson managed a local door company for five years before deciding to go on his own. His new business is located near the Brainerd Airport on Highway 210.
Jurek appointed as grad engineer
Paul Jurek, a native of Brainerd, has been appointed to the position of Graduate Engineer I with the Minnesota department of Transportation in St. Paul.
Jurek will aid senior engineers in the design and construction of transportation projects.
