Clinton M. Trana Sr.

STAPLES -- Clinton M. Trana Sr., 82, Staples, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at Greater Staples Hospital.

He was born Aug. 28, 1920, in Staples to Tom and Essie (Hubbard) Trana. He married Virginia "Gin" Dobson on June 1, 1940. He retired from the Staples Fire Dept. and also from the Staples Street Department after working nearly 30 years. He lived at the Greater Staples Care Center the last four years.

Survivors include two sons, Clint "Bud" Jr., Staples, and Stanley; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Janice Reger, Browerville, and Jean Kopp, Verndale; and a brother, Tom Trana, Staples.

His wife; four sisters; and two brothers, died earlier.

A memorial service will be 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the Lions Hall, formerly the Masonic Hall, on Wisconsin Ave.

Arrangements are with the Cremation Society of Minnesota.
