LITTLE FALLS -- Norman Robert Super, 74, Little Falls, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at his home.
He was born July 18, 1926, in Flensburg to Frank and Stella (Rutz) Super. He grew up and attended school in Flensburg and was a member of Sacred Heart Parish. He entered the Army on Jan. 20, 1945, at Fort Snelling and was discharged Dec. 22, 1946. He returned to Minneapolis and worked from 1953 to 1954 for Whisnton and Remewal. He married Phyllis J. Eisel on July 28, 1951, in Little Falls. They moved to Minneapolis for a year, then returned to Little Falls where he worked for Minnesota Power and Light and then for Crestliner Boats for 33 years as an inspector. He retired in 1981. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls and a life member of the Little Falls VFW Post 1112.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Buster Super, Rangely, Colo., and Craig Super, Little Falls; two daughters, Cheryl Gibeau, Fort Ripley, and Sylvia Super, Royalton; three grandchildren; and four sisters, Barbara Boisjolie, Gheen, Geraldine Cummings, Brooklyn Center, Rosemary Goeble, Greenwood, Ind., and Lillian Riley, Greencastle, Ind.
Three brothers, Clarence, Benjamin and Earl Super, and a sister, Donna Schneider, died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls with the Rev. Nick Landsberger officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today, with parish prayers at 7 p.m., and from 8-10:30 a.m. Monday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls.
