Role model needed

Thanks to a successful "100 Mentors 100 Days" campaign, the Kinship Partners waiting list continues to be whittled down and the average wait time for a child from the Brainerd office has gone from 400 days to 40 days. What an amazing testimony from the Brainerd lakes community that it cares for its youths.

Let us introduce you to Aidan, a bright and happy boy from the Crosby area. On the interest section of the child's application it asks for activities they would enjoy. This pleasant third-grader wrote "hard work" with a series of underlines beneath the word "hard." He has been diagnosed with slight autism and very gifted both academically and musically. What he needs most is a man to introduce him to sports and outdoor activities, as he has no contact with his dad. He also needs help getting off his training wheels and mastering a two-wheel bike and enjoys bowling, swimming and adds that he'd like a bit of help with division math problems! Mom calls Aidan "loveable and outgoing" and will be very supportive of the partner relationship.
