Hot shooting helps W-DC edge C-I boys

CROSBY -- The Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines shot 50 percent from the field and 92 percent from the line as they edged the Crosby-Ironton Rangers 63-60 in Mid-State Conference boys' basketball Friday.

Brett Hieb led the Wolverines with 16 points and teammate Kyle Polman added 15.

Ben Baratto racked up a double-double for the Rangers, scoring 20 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Steve Perpich added a double-double as well for C-I with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
