FERGUS FALLS (AP)-- A Fergus Falls man has been charged with falsifying sales data and vehicle history in his car business.
State police charged Bruce Raymond Holman, 54, with 14 counts of false motor vehicle title transfer, 12 counts of tax remittance failure, 11 counts of vehicle title transfer failure and two counts of motor vehicle sales tax penalties.
Between June 1999 and January 2002, Holman allegedly filed false applications for title, purchase prices, trade-in prices and sales dates. He also allegedly failed to transfer titles within the 10-day legal limit.
State police also accuse Holman of under-reporting vehicle sales prices to the state and keeping more than $3,750 in sales taxes.
The most severe offenses carry a maximum penalty of five years in jail.
