THIEF RIVER FALLS - Entering Wednesday's game against the Northland Pioneers the Central Lakes College women's basketball team was clinging to the fourth and final playoff spot. A win would almost ensure the Raiders a trip to the postseason.

But the Pioneers had other plans as they downed CLC 52-41 in a key North Division game.

Vermilion, which is a game behind CLC, hosted Rainy River, a team that hasn't won a division game yet this season, Wednesday. The Raiders' final game of the season is Saturday at Rainy River.

Megan Meyer led the Raiders with 16 points while Erin Karlsgodt scored 11 in the loss.
