The Nisswa Women's Club will meet at noon for a luncheon Thursday at Ernie's on Gull. The feature artist will be Mary Ann Simmons presenting "Leaving a Legacy: Time Runs Out." Ethel Speaker will chair. Hostesses: Mary DeYoe, Kathy Edmunds, Barbara Elmquist and Jean O'Leary.
The Nisswa Women's Club supports numerous scholarship and charitable causes in the Brainerd lakes area. Luncheon meetings are held the third Thursday noon of each month with additional special events and field trips. Nisswa Garden Club meeting
There will be a Nisswa Garden Club meeting and luncheon Feb. 27 at the Lutheran Church of the Cross. The program is by Master Gardener Barabra Sjoblad is titled "Deer and other Critter Control." Mike Edmunds is coordinating. Hosts are Marie and Charlie Boudrye and Mary Beth Jones. Non-members who wish to attend may call 963-7494 before Feb. 23 to make reservations. Cost: $8.
Woodland Good Samaritan Auxiliary
The Woodland Good Samaritan Auxiliary will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday in the lobby of the 320 Bldg. at Woodland Good Samaritan Village.
There will be a celebration for Washington's birthday Saturday at the Eagle's Club. Installation of new officers will be 10 a.m. Social hour will be 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:15 p.m. at the Eagle's Club. Entertainment will be available. Cost: $10 per person. Call 568-7694 or 963-4730.
