MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Andy Sertich had a goal and an assist as Minnesota beat Wisconsin 5-2 Friday night.
The Golden Gophers (16-7-7, 11-5-5 WCHA) have won nine of their last 11 games against the Badgers (10-18-3, 4-14-3).
"We wanted to play hard and play with some emotion right away," said Minnesota coach Don Lucia. "We did that, and had a really good start to the game."
Minnesota dominated early, out-shooting Wisconsin nearly 2-to-1 in the opening period and taking a two-goal lead.
St. Cloud St. 4, Colorado College 2
ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) -- Jake Moreland recorded 42 saves as St. Cloud State upset Colorado College 4-2 Friday night.
The Huskies snapped Colorado College ace Peter Sejna's 31-game scoring streak in the win. It was the longest streak in school history.
After a scoreless first period, Matt Hendricks scored for St. Cloud State on the power play at 14:36 in the second.
North Dakota 3, Denver 3 OT
DENVER, Colo. (AP) -- Kevin Spiewak scored twice in the third period to give North Dakota a 3-3 overtime tie with Denver on Friday.
David Lundbohm, who scored in the first period for the Fighting Sioux (22-5-4, 12-5-4 WCHA), assisted on both of Spiewak's goals, the second of which came with just under two minutes to play.
Max Bull gave Denver (17-9-5, 8-8-5) the early lead in the first, and Kevin Doell scored late in the period to put the Pioneers up 2-1. Doell scored again in the second period to widen Denver's lead.
Nebraska-Omaha 5, Bemidji St. 2
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) -- David Brisson scored his school-record 62nd goal Friday as Nebraska-Omaha beat Bemidji State 5-2.
Brisson's goal came at the 8:16 mark of the first period, and gave the Mavericks (12-15-4, 9-13-2 CCHA) a 2-0 lead. His 62 goals broke the mark of 61 set by Jeff Hoggan from 1998-2002.
UNO also got a first-period goal from Anthony Adams, and second-period scores from Andrew Wong and Dan Hacker for a 4-2 lead going into the third. The only score in that period came from Joe Pereira.
Minnesota State-Mankato 8,
Alaska Anchorage 3
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) -- Brock Becker scored twice and Minnesota State-Mankato defeated Alaska Anchorage, 8-3, Friday.
B.J. Abel opened scoring for Minnesota State-Mankato (13-7-9, 11-5-7 WCHA) with an unassisted goal at 9:24 of the first.
Cole Bassett took a centering pass from behind the net to score at 19:52.
In the second, Becker caught Seawolf goalie Chris King out of position and notched an unassisted goal at 3:44. Alaska Anchorage (1-21-7 overall, 0-19-6 WCHA) pulled King after the third goal and replaced him with Kevin Reiter. But Dana Sorensen picked up another goal for Mankato at 5:24 shooting up and over the glove side of Reiter.
Dallas Steward put Alaska Anchorage on the scoreboard in front of the net with a power-play goal at 17:03. Joe Bourne picked up another goal for the Mavericks at 19:59.
