THIEF RIVER FALLS - The Northland women's basketball team went from shooting 1-of-12 from 3-point in the first half to 11-of-20 from 3-point in the second half.
The shooting turnaround was the downfall of the Central Lakes College Raider women who lost 92-66 Wednesday in North Division play.
The Raiders held a one-point lead with seven minutes remaining in the second half. Northland then hit five straight 3-point shots. Tressta Ralston finished with five 3-pointers and 20 points. Alexandria Engelman sank three for all nine of her points and Shawna Rogalla scored 17 points thanks to two 3-pointers.
Casey Engelstad led Northland with 22 points.
CLC was led by Becky Skiba's 17 points. Whitney Glazier and Stacey Butler each scored 12 points as the Raiders shot 50 percent from the field, but attempted 17 fewer field goals and shot just 53 percent from the foul line.
The Raiders remain one win away from clinching a spot in the Minnesota state tournament. Saturday they travel to Rainy River to secure that spot.
