Amanda Flier, Aitkin, and Roxanne Lundeen, Aldrich, are taking part in Bemidji State University's student teaching program during spring semester. Flier is a senior majoring in social studies. She will be teaching social studies at Crosby Ironton High School under the supervision of Gordy Sharp, Roger Twigg and Sue Tesdahl. Lundeen is a senior majoring in elementary education. She will be teaching the fourth grade at Staples Elementary School under the supervision of Tammi Brisson.
Erica Ruen, Baxter, was named to the fall semester dean's list at Northwestern College-St. Paul. She is majoring in elementary education.

Aric Anderson, son of Rick and Tonya Caughey, Brainerd, has been accepted to the University of Minnesota-Duluth for the 2005-2006 academic year. He is a a senior at Brainerd High School. He plans to major in pre-pharmacy.
Joshua Ganske, Crosslake, submitted entries for the fall 2004 photo contest by the Outdoor Program Center at Bemidji State University.
Krista Cosert, Brainerd, a student at Concordia College-Moorhead, was at the state capitol in St. Paul on Feb. 3 with other private college scholars to meet with legislators to share results of research they have been developing. Cosert's research involves the inspection of ultra fast liquid dynamics via a process called noisy light spectroscopy. They were joined by faculty mentors from 11 of Minnesota's private colleges and universities.
Heather McCulley has been named to the dean's list at UW-River Falls. She is a senior, majoring in sociology with a minor in criminal justice. She graduated from Pillager High School in 2002.
Sara Swanson, daughter of Helen and Tom Swanson, Brainerd, recently completed a seven month civil engineering internship at Westwood Consulting in Eden Prairie. Swanson is a senior at North Dakota State University.
Michael Jacobs, Crosslake, has been named to the dean's list for fall semester at the University of Minnesota.
