Every now and then something happens that reaffirms what it's all about. Last Saturday at Kinship Partners something very special happened. People from our community worked together to present "This One's For the Girls," an event for Kinship girls, their adult mentors, and their moms.
Over 40 girls of all ages were in attendance, spending the afternoon learning how to be the best they can be from area professionals in health, hygiene, beauty, and fitness.
Thanks go to our presenters: Dr. Christopher Wolner and Eric Rinio from HealthFirst Chiropractic, Michelle Burris from St. Joseph's Medical Center, Lois Scholzen, actively retired hairdresser, Miranda Anderson of Mid-MN Federal Credit Union, Stacy Jensen from Brainerd Public Library, Connie Lyscio-Physical Education at Franklin Junior High, and from Herbergers, Christine Grave-Clinique, Melissa Seelye-Lancome, and Joan Thomas-Junior Fashions. Dave Marusak of Lakes Area Water donated bottled Kinetico water for everyone, and donations of health, hygiene and beauty products came from Dr. Kevin Dens, Dr. Ray Kieffer, Dr. Roland Kerr, Comfort Suites, Walgreens, Suzette Bush, and the congregation of St. Christopher, St. Alice, and Our Lady of Lourdes churches.
Thank you for all you did, making a difference in the lives of these young people
