LITTLE FALLS -- Sister Mary (Mary Gregoria) Kraemer, 65, Little Falls, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, at St. Francis Convent in Little Falls.
She was born April 3, 1937, in St. Cloud to Gregor and Katherine (Resch) Kraemer. She was accepted as a Franciscan Sister of Little Falls on July 31, 1956. She earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education and history from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul. She was an elementary teacher, religion teacher, librarian, volunteer coordinator and director of education. She suffered a severe hearing loss in 1970 and became active in the hearing impaired ministry. She was the founder of religious education for hearing impaired in the Archdiocese of St. Paul/Minneapolis and authored many religion textbooks. She ministered as director of Teens Encounter Christ programs for the deaf and was director of Come Aside and Rest Awhile.
Survivors include her brothers and sisters, Pauline Magnuson, Annandale, Jerry, Omaha, Neb., Robert, Eagan, and the Rev. Edwin and Mary Torborg, St. Cloud.
A sister, Donna Ruud, died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Convent in Little Falls.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Sunday, with a wake service at 7 p.m., and two hours before services Monday at the convent.
