ST. PAUL -- Middle-income families across Minnesota could see their income taxes cut substantially under a plan to increase the personal exemption by $2,200 per person, Rep. Steve Wenzel, DFL-Little Falls, said in a news release.
He is one of several legislators introducing the measure.
"This cuts income taxes in a way that is much more beneficial to working people and families than the governor's proposal for simple rate reduction," Wenzel said. "This targets the tax cut toward families with children."
