Powerful tornadoes pummeled the Southeast early today as rain showers, snow and high winds barreled across the East and West coasts. The Plains warmed under cloudy skies.
New England was expected to have a mixture of snow, freezing rain and snow, while sleet hits New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan and northern Ohio.
Rain, strong winds and thunderstorms were predicted to fall across the Eastern coast, from Maine to Florida. Further inland, heavier rain was predicted throughout Georgia, the Carolinas, Virginia and New England.
