Amy V. Anderson

Amy V. Anderson, 89, Brainerd, formerly of Fargo, N.D., died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village of Brainerd.

She was born Aug. 20, 1910, in Kenmare, N.D. to Hans Olaf and Betsy Stina (Lang) Rodin. She graduated from Minot Teachers College and taught in country schools in North Dakota for several years. She married Burnett J. Anderson on Oct. 24, 1939 in Fargo, N.D. He died Dec. 22, 1993. She was a book assembler at North Dakota State University for many years until her retirement in 1975. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Fargo.

Survivors include a son, Don Anderson, Brainerd; a daughter, Marla Laufenberg, Clearwater, Fla.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Her husband, four brothers, and two sisters, died earlier.

Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Bethany Good Samaritan Village Chapel of Brainerd with Pastor Lilja Behr officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fargo, N.D.

Friends may call at Bethany Good Samaritan Village Chapel of Brainerd an hour before services Tuesday.
