Mesaba Airlines will switch to its summer schedule on June 1 at the Brainerd - Crow Wing County Airport. Officials said that Mesaba uses its 48-passenger aircraft to meet summer demand, more than doubling capacity from the 19-passenger craft used now.

Blueprints for the proposed Highway 371 bypass around Brainerd were reviewed by the Crow Wing County Commissioners. Two MnDOT representatives said three routes were being considered, with construction to begin in 1984.

Starving deer in the Brainerd area received a helping hand from students of the Natural Resource Class and their instructor Chuck Widmark at Brainerd Vocational School. The class spent yesterday cutting browse for deer having a hard time because of deep snow.

Over 350 fans braved the cold of yesterday afternoon to view the Brainerd Skating Club's first ice show at the local rink. In addition to local talent that performed after weeks of practice, Shirley Ann Dybvig of the Duluth Skating Club gave an exhibition.

The children of Brainerd and territory who may some day directly benefit from the installation of a radio receiving system in the St. Joseph's Hospital are invited to participate in the raising of money to purchase the set.

C. P. Cox, traveling salesman for the Green-DeLaittre Grocery Co., was tried in municipal court on the charge of shipping a deer on another man's license. Judge Allbright dismissed the case after determining the shipment was proper.
