Jerry and Susan Moore of Pequot Lakes recently joined Weichert Realtors-Tower Properties in Brainerd.
Jerry Moore will be a sales manager, where he will direct the company's sales team activities, day-to-day operations and ongoing recruiting efforts. Susan Moore joined the sales team.
The Moores have been in real estate for 10 years, serving the Brainerd lakes area and surrounding markets as members of the Greater Lakes Association of Realtors. The Moores have bachelor's degrees in education and were in the teaching field prior to real estate. Susan Moore also holds a master's degree in technology.
NORTH GMAC Realtor honored - twice
NISSWA - Harry Kahnert, a full-time real estate agent with Prime NORTH GMAC Real Estate in Nisswa, was named Realtor of the Month for January for achieving the highest gross commission income.
Kahnert also was honored with GMAC's Ruby Medallion Award. The GMAC Real Estate Medallion Club recognizes top performing sales associates and rewards their dedication to providing exceptional service to every customer and their knowledge of the residential real estate industry. The Medallion awards are a distinctive honor.
Kahnert has four years of real estate agent experience. He moved to Mille Lacs in 2003. He is a First Responder and he started "Grandpas for Kids" in south Aitkin County. He retired from Gemini Inc. in Cannon Falls. He is a graduate of St. Cloud State University and he served in the Army.
Kahnert has experience in listing and selling all types of homes, land and commercial properties.
BNNA meeting scheduled Tuesday
The Brainerd Northside Neighborhood Association will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Meeting Room 1 on the second floor at the First Congregational Church in Brainerd.
The guest speakers will be Elizabeth Harris, Brainerd crime prevention specialist, and Bill Kronstedt, Brainerd rental housing inspector. Attendees are asked to use the entrance by the parking lot.
All northside residents are welcome.
Home Stretch classes scheduled in Brainerd
Home Stretch, a first-time home-buyer education workshop, will be offered from 6-9 p.m. March 4, 11 and 18 at Central Lakes College in Brainerd.
The workshops educate first-time home buyers about the process of buying a home. Topics include mortgage approval process, budget and credit issues, real estate closing procedures, basic home maintenance and affordable mortgage products.
The Central Minnesota Housing Partnership, a nonprofit organization providing affordable housing services to central Minnesota, coordinates the Home Stretch workshops.

Eide joins Rels Title
Helen Eide recently joined the staff at Rels Title as an account representative.
Eide has had more than seven years experience in the mortgage industry working with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and Countrywide Home Loans. Prior to that, she worked five years with Wells Fargo Bank in both personal and business banking.
Eide is a member of the Greater Lakes Association of Realtors, Mid-Minnesota Builders Association and the Brainerd Lakes Chamber.
State builders convention set
The second annual Minnesota Builders Convention is scheduled Feb. 27-March 1 at Cragun's Resort in Brainerd.
