Churches

The First Congregational United Church of Christ, Brainerd, will present Elizabeth Kuoppala of the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless and Patrice O'Leary and Kathy Carlson of Lutheran Social Services Hope Housing, a program to end homelessness in the state, during Sunday's forum. All interested people are invited to attend. The forum begins at 11a.m. following the 10 a.m. church service. The church is at 415 Juniper St. across from the southwest corner of Gregory Park in Brainerd.

Aitkin's Westside youth group

The Westside youth group in Aitkin will host its "One Amazing Night" lock-in at its building from 9 p.m. today to 7 a.m. Saturday for students in grades 6-12. Included at the lock-in will be time in the gym and two rec rooms, movies, all-you-can-eat pizza and a guest speaker. Cost is $5. There is a limit of 150 tickets available.
