Crow Wing County Democrats will gather Feb. 20 at Brainerd High School for their annual county party convention.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the convention officially begins at 9 a.m. Letters have been mailed to all the delegates elected at the county caucus Feb. 2. All Democrats are invited to attend, but only elected delegates may vote.

Resolutions presented at the caucus will be chosen to forward to the state DFL office in St. Paul for consideration at the State DFL convention in April in Duluth.
New party directors (11) will be elected for a two-year term. Party officers (5) are elected in off years. Delegates for the State and Congressional District 8 Conventions will be chosen. State Central Committee members will be elected to represent the county at the state level.
Political guests at the Feb. 20 convention will include state Rep. John Ward (12A), Rep. Al Doty (12B); candidate for House seat 4B Meg Bye, Sen. Mary Olson (Senate District 4), U.S. Rep. Jim Oberstar, Senate District 12 Senate candidates Terry Sluss and Taylor Stevenson, as well as gubernatorial and state office candidates.
"Following the convention, we will be focusing on the re-election of Representatives John Ward and Al Doty, Congressional District 8 Rep. Jim Oberstar, and Senate District 4 Sen. Mary Olson," Crow Wing County DFL Chairperson Marcia Ferris said. "There is also heavy interest in regaining the Senate District 12 Senate seat, 4B House seat, and electing a DFL governor."
