Relay for Life Team plans family fun night

On Friday from 5-11 p.m., the Relay for Life Team of the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center will host a family fun night at the Deerwood auditorium.

The Relay for Life Team raises money to support cancer care and education. All proceeds from this event will remain in Crow Wing County.

Entertainment for the evening will be Elvis (Mike Ryan of Minneapolis) who will entertain the crowd for four hours. His performance will start at 6:30 p.m.

The Bay Lake Lions Clown Club will be doing face painting, balloon art starting at 5:30 p.m.

The family that dresses most authentically to the style of the '50s will receive a "Family Night Out" gift package consisting of movie passes and pizza.

A '50s theme meal will be served -- hamburgers, cheeseburgers, Coney's, hot dogs, coleslaw, beans, chips, pickles, root beer float or sundae and a beverage.

Various items will be offered with a silent auction.

Drawings will be held throughout the evening, both for children and adults.

Tickets, which are $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12 and free for those under 3, can be purchased at the door -- or from any of the following team members: Pat Davis, Sharon Holtzleicer, Bobbie Ferrari, Paula Redemski, Joyce Gindorff, Mary Jo Huntley, Linda Merta, Karen Millsop, Gail Temple, Chick Turk, Shirley Midthun, Sue Skinner.
