Julie McLaughlin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.R. McLaughlin, Brainerd, a second soprano in the Brainerd High School choir, has been selected to participate in the "America's Youth Concert" program of the Universal Academy of Music.

Orator Winston Borden, St. Cloud State College freshman from Brainerd, placed fourth in original oratory in an annual Twin City Debate League Forensics contest last Tuesday at the University of Minnesota.

Coach Ben Taylor of the High School Warriors will make the presentation speech to his former pupils, Gene Bierhaus and Jim Fitzharris, at the testimonial dinner being given tonight in Washington School cafeteria.
