WILLMAR -- The Brainerd Warriors captured the Central Lakes Conference wrestling title for the first time since the 1994-95 season after beating Willmar 31-20 Tuesday night.
Tom Zelinske defeated Willmar's Brandon Gilb 5-2 for his 112th career victory, putting him in second place on Brainerd's all-time list behind Andy Pickar and ahead of Jim Caughey.
Brainerd's Dan Fleischhacker added a major decision at 119 and Kyle Wilshusen had a pin to help the Warriors' cause.
