Timothy M. Carlson, age 50, resident of Brainerd, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, as the result of a snowmobile accident. He was born on June 12, 1953, in Roseau, Minn., to Luverne and Ardyce (Charelton) Carlson. He married Toni Salari on Sept. 1, 1984, in Lake Tahoe. He enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, jet skiing and golfing. He was a successful business man. He loved life. "Stop and smell the roses" was his saying.
Survivors include his wife Toni Carlson; sons Jacob Carlson of Brainerd, Jason Collins of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Josh Collins of Brainerd; father, Luverne "Monk" Carlson of Inver Grove Heights, Minn.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lynn (John) Tatro of Pierz, Minn., Leslie (Greg) Dick of Little Falls, Minn.; nieces and nephews, Jed and Amanda Tatro, Darryl and Christina Boeckers, Michelle Dick, Kimberly Dick and Uncle Ray Charelton.
His mother, Ardyce Carlson, and aunt Marguerite Johnston, died earlier.
Mass of Christian burial will be noon Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd with Father Bill Skarich officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd. Visitation will also be one hour before services at the church on Thursday.
